A hand block-printed stripe that shifts to a check at each corner, a detail that only reveals itself when the cloth is laid. Printed on 100% cotton using azo-free pigments, free from harmful compounds and kind to the hands that made it.

Each piece individually printed, slight variations are part of the making.
At Mahal, we work almost exclusively with vegetable dyes - colours drawn entirely from roots, bark, flowers and plant matter.
On the rare occasion we work outside this, we use only azo-free pigments, free from the harmful compounds found in conventional dyes and safe for the artisans who work with them.
